So Much Rain

Today we started the day with a walk to the beach to find there was no beach at all.  David wanted to go for a swim but I would not let him.  I would not even walk along the no beach with him to Canoe Point as we usually do.  I said I would walk to Canoe Point along the road and on the way we saw an owl on a branch above us.  As I went to take his photo he flew off.  I did take a photo in his new location but not quite as good as the first would have been.
We had been having phone calls from SES that they were needing to evacuate people from Boyne Island and wanted to use Tanyalla.  A later phone call advised they were going to use the community centre so we went off to lunch at Sher and Tony's with Anne and Jeff.  We had a lovely time and met some of Sher's friends during the afternoon.  A phone call from SES advised they did need to use Tanyalla as emergency evacuation as Boyne Island and Bargara had been declared a state emergency, off home we went to clean up somewhat.  Rather a long night with some people needing linen and the SES needing our help at different times.
